WAB Track Athlete Flies for excellence
Congratulations to Grade 10 WAB Student Naomi W. for winning Gold and Silver in the Women’s Under 18 and Under 21 High Jump at the New Zealand National Athletics Championships on March 3!
Naomi is active in WAB’s track and field team and will also compete in upcoming APAC competitions. But in addition to her involvement in sports at WAB, Naomi is also enjoying considerable success as an athlete outside of school.
Naomi has been competing extensively at High Jump competitions in Asia and New Zealand for a number of years. Last October, Naomi attended the Chinese National Under 18 Athletics Championships in Huangshi. There, she picked up the bronze medal and became the first foreigner to compete in that competition.
